Contour Roofing Team up with ‘Mates in Mind’ – Lets get Construction talking
Health and Safety in the construction sector has changed and improved vastly over the past decade, which we can all applauded ourselves for, but should we all feel a bit guilty of being consumed by ‘Safety’ with ‘Health’ taking a back seat – I think so. The fact that suicide kills far more construction workers than falls in our industry was a clear message that as a business we need to intervene to get everyone talking more openly without the thought of discrimination. In 2018 Contour Roofing will be rolling out NEW training for all senior management and roofing operatives so together we can educate ourselves, colleagues and partners with ‘Mental Health Awareness’ and what to look out for.

- Low-skilled male construction workers are at greatest risk, with a suicide rate 3.7 times above the national average.
