Matt Holt retained his crown and triumphed once more as the winner of the Contour Roofing Fantasy football 2017-2018 competition. Usual service was resumed in the premier league with the top teams back in the mix and no surprise outside winners to challenge the minds everyone who entered. This season was the closest yet with it all coming down to the last game, kick and save of the season with only 6 points separating 1st and 2nd position. Lee Clift who finished just behind Matt in 2nd place said ‘I’ll get him next season’. Biggest improvement was Jonathan Woods who worked his way up the league table past Mark Twiner to finish an impressive 4th and with a zero Harry Kane policy it was widely discussed that maybe he could have been a contender!! Matt has now won this tournament 4 seasons on the bounce and can anyone challenge him a pip him at the end to be crowned as NEW Contour Roofing (Essex) Limited Fantasy Football Winner 2018-2019!!

As predicted it was the usual subjects who finished at the top Manchester City just being too good and walking away almost just after Christmas with the title.
Did Harry Kane just have another freakish season and will he continue where he left off by scuffing the ball into the back of the net? and with the giants of the premier league spending big on defence will he even score a goal? Can Mo Salah replicate his record breaking scoring tally or was this just a one off?
Will West Ham finally settle into their new stadium and bring the glory days back to the East End of London and can Spurs improve at their new White Hart Lane Stadium (hopefully not), And will the special one and Pep Guardiola take this into a 2 horse race again or will Liverpool & Spurs improve and challenge for the title?
And who the hell do I put in as Captain this week!!
