A complex insulation scheme was produced by Kingspan due to only having 3 outlets present on this project, so there was little chance of standing water occurring on here.

The biggest challenge on this one was the time of the year!. Less working hours due to the daylight available and the winter weather really reminding us who’s in charge!, with October 3rd registering the wettest day on record, with enough rain to fill the loch ness!. Nevertheless we persevered and got this completed in good time.

We advised Jonathan Bunn of the requirements and he immediately turned around a bespoke specification for this Sikalastic operation, which from numerous workshops, working closely with Hollybrook Homes, met the requirements. Due to the time of the year we opted for the more robust and durable VCL layer – S-VAP HD SA, this kept the client watertight until we could get the main roof area installed.

All the work was independently tested by SA Roof & Leak Testing LTD and signed off by a SIKA field technician to ensure works were completed to specification, these were also provided to the main contractor for transparency.

The project is still on-going and we would fully expect to be complete by Winter 2021.
