Flat Roofing Contracts Manager
James McFerran
James has been part of the Contour Roofing team since 2004, starting out on pitched roofing and learning the trade from the ground up.
After building solid experience in all aspects of pitched roofing, he moved into maintenance, where he spent a couple of years investigating remedial works and solving roofing issues across a variety of sites.
He then took the opportunity to join the flat roofing team, where he developed experience across all flat roofing systems. In mid-2025, James stepped into the role of Contract Manager for the Flat Roofing team, bringing his hands-on knowledge and long-standing experience with Contour Roofing into a leadership position.
Outside of work, rugby has been a huge part of James’s life. He’s played since the age of 9, moved up to senior level at 18, and now plays for the vets. He’s also represented Essex and the Eastern Counties. These days, he also enjoys watching Formula 1, carp fishing and spending time with his family.
