Berkeley Homes Apprenticeship Awards – WINNERS 2016
Contour Roofing (Essex) Limited braved the cold on Tuesday 29th of November 2016 and was recognised for their outstanding achievements at the prestigious Berkeley Homes Apprentices Awards held at the Royal Arsenal Riverside development in London.
Rhyce Jones collected best Apprentice in the Externals ‘Roofing’ category for his outstanding work and commitment to becoming a qualified roofer and Contour Roofing (Essex) Limited won the best Sub-contractor Award for its commitment in offering apprentices and helping the industry fill the skills gap.
Managing Director Jonathan Woods quoted ‘It was extremely refreshing to see so many and such a variety of companies committed to developing apprentices and must applaud the Berkeley Group for all their efforts to help bridge the skills shortage we are all facing’. ‘I am proud of all our apprentices and fully committed to continue this work for many years to come.’
Contract Manager Mark Twiner quoted ‘I have been working extremely hard over the past 2 years with all our apprentices and very proud of the work that we are doing to develop the next generation of roofers’. ‘To win both awards was a great recognition for all the work we are all doing here at Contour Roofing.’
Nikki Parson CITB Apprenticeship Officer quoted ‘I have been working alongside Contour Roofing LTD for 2 years now as their CITB Apprenticeship Officer , Contour Roofing continue to pick Strong candidates to complete the apprenticeship. All the apprentices are enthusiastic and committed to the programme so it comes as no surprise that 2 awards were received at the Berkley Homes Apprenticeship Awards , the attitude that the apprentices have and the support from Contour Roofing will create the standards for future construction.’
